In 2015 the Clothing Bank sign in sheet shows 3,000 visits by individuals who need clothing. Families who have lost their possessions due to fire are also provided clothing and household goods.

The Fund for Local Emergency Needs is used primarily for the purchase of prescription medications for those unable to buy them as well as other urgent needs. In 2015, 3000 dollars was spent on prescription medications. Assistance given to those in need of rent, utilities and emergency shelter in 2015 totaled 7000 dollars.

The Food Bank furnishes sacks of food to people out of work or whose food stamps have been depleted. In 2015 3,400 people were assisted with 47,640 meals..

The Christmas Toy Program is organized and carried out by the United Fund staff and volunteers with strong community support. In 2015, 400 children received toys for Christmas.

Disaster service case workers with the Rome-Floyd Chapter of the American Red Cross assist Cedartown families who have lost their belongings due to fire. The Cedartown United Fund reimburses the Chapter for assistance given.

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Boys and Girls club provide programs of character building, citizenship and physical fitness for local youth.

The Student Special Needs Fund is administered by the Polk County School System and assists students with clothing and other needs so they may stay in school.

The Community Free Lunch Program is sponsored by the Ministerial Association through the Samaritan House. Volunteers from community churches prepare and serve lunch on the last five days of the month to those in need, while providing an atmosphere of Christian fellowship.

Our House is an on-going effort by a group of concerned citizens to provide emergency shelter, counseling and support for battered women and their children.
